Molecular Pathology Core (MPC)

Director:  Jeff Gregg, PhD

The Molecular Pathology Core is designed to provide state-of-the-art, cost-effective, genomic services and histopathological services to Center investigators.  Services and resources provided by the MPC include gene expression profiling, GeneChip-based SNP genotyping, tissue microarrays of selected tissue types and disease states, and the procurement of tissue for genomic analysis.

The MPC also provides consultation on design of experiments and preparation of RNA for microarray analysis.  The Core provides training for Center members and collaborators on the use of data analysis programs for microarrays and the collection of surgical material, serum, and blood.
