The Inflammation and Immune Function Core provides consultation and technical support to Center Members investigating the interaction of nutrition and immune function.
Methods available include isolation and stimulation of cells of the innate and adaptive immune systems, assay of acute phase proteins and cytokines using multiparameter bead-based fluorescent methods (Luminex), flow cytometric analysis (BD FACSCalibur) and various cellular assays.
